WHAT CAN I LEARN?

The School of Pharmacy was established at The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus in September 2005 and rate as the UK's top School of Pharmacy in the 2010-2015 Complete University Guide. Their teaching quality was graded excellent during the last UK Quality Assurance Agency audit and in 2007, received The Queen’s Award for Industry in Innovation for the development of new medicines. The pharmacy degree holds full accredition by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain/General Pharmaceutical Council (UK). The BSc programme is different from the MPharm degree. You will be taught the fundamental modules delivered by the School of Pharmacy and the School of Biomedical Sciences, and also optional modules from within and outside of the Faculty of Science.

WHAT IS PHARMACOLOGY?

Pharmacology is the branch of biology concerned with the study of drug action where a drug can be broadly defined as any man-made, natural, or endogenous (from within body) molecule which exerts a biochemical or physiological effect on the cell, tissue, organ, or organism. Students will explore drug interactions in biological systems, the formulation and operation of clinical trials, as well as drug regulation and the marketing of pharmaceuticals.

IB Diploma34 points with grades of 6,6,5 at HL including chemistry and biology, and 3 other subjects in SL. (mathematics with further mathematics counts as 1 HL and 1 SL subject)
